“There never was a good war, or a bad peace.”

— Benjamin Franklin

Taking a Stand

Capital Art Advisory supports the arts and related institutions around the world. We are passionate about this mission.

We also understand there are some conflicts that art cannot solve.

That is why CAA is donating a portion of our profits to the war in Ukraine, through organizations like UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, and Save the Children.

Additionally, since 2008, we are no longer advising private or corporate clientele with known ties to the Russian government.

We stopped working with such clients after Russia’s invasion of the Republic of Georgia and stand by this decision in light of the ongoing aggression in Ukraine.

CAA hopes that other art advisors will mirror this choice, however difficult it may be to their bottom line.

Our perspective is that any art advisor willing to work with Kremlin-backed individuals or organizations is enabling the war in Ukraine and the death of innocent civilians.

Capital Art Advisory is proud to take a stand against corrupt money in art, because integrity is always more important than profit.

“When German soldiers used to come to my studio and look at my pictures of Guernica, they’d ask ‘Did you do this?’

And I’d say ‘No. You did.’”

— Pablo Picasso
